Do you know who you are?

Do you know who you are? and by who you are I don’t mean what people say you are, who you think you are in your mind, or even what the world tells you you are- do you know the truth of who you are (what God says you are)?

Not knowing the truth of who you are puts you in a position to believe anything that comes your way. It leads you believe that you are defined by what you do or how well you perform; that you need validation and praise in order to feel valuable.

But the truth is: you are not what you do. You are not what you think about yourself. You are not what the world tells you. People don’t get the final say over who you are. God does.

The one who created you is the one who defines you.

In case you need a reminder, know that you are:

- Fearfully and wonderfully made (psalm 139:14)

- Loved(Roman’s 5:8)

- Chosen ( 1 Peter 1:2)

- Fearless (Isaiah 41:10)

- Heard (1 Peter 3:12)

- Seen ( Genesis 16:13)

- Worth more than rubies (proverbs 3:15)

- Set free (John 8:36)

- Made new (2 Corinthians 5:17)

- Strong (Ephesians 6:10)

- Healed (Jeremiah 17:14)

- The light ( 2 Corinthians 4:6)

- Saved (John 3:16)

- Redeemed ( Isaiah 43:1)

Don’t let broken people have power over your identity. Rather, let a perfect God remind you of who he made you to be.
